looking for lens for Nikon D80

Hey guys, looking for a Christmas gift for my wife. She has a Nikon D80, and I would like to get her a new lens that she can use for wildlife photography. She has a 55-200mm, and a smaller one, but I want to find one that she can use for a little more magnification. I would like to keep it under $1000. Any suggestions? I'm not a camera expert and I don't want to spoil the surprise. Thanks

Here are three that will give her a little more reach. I only shoot Nikkors so I can't give you an opinion on the Sigmas. If you could find one used, you could do better. Unfortunately, once you get into the over 300mm range, prices escalate exponentially.
