Canon PowerShot SX30 IS

Does anyone know anything about these cameras? We were at the Rangers game the other night. The gentleman sitting next to us had this camera. The pictures looked like we were sitting on the field. My wife and I are looking to buy a new camera.

Any experiences/comments/concerns....

I have been kicking around the idea of getting the sx40. It's their new model and about the same price

Ask Becerra he knows everything about cameras. I would just get a point and shoot.
