Thanks for the compliments. This was really the first chance I've had to get out with my new D90. I think I'm gonna like it.

That tarantula was the first of two we found that weekend. We found him on the garage floor. We fished another out of the swimming pool...I guess he couldn't resist the temptation of that cool water.

I'm not sure where the Narrows are. Our property is on Hwy 71 adjacent to Fall Creek Estates...near where Fall Creek feeds into the Pedernales. About 4 miles up from the Hwy 71 bridge. This picture was made from the back deck of the house.

I worked on the Wild River Ranch off of Fall Creek Rd one summer a few years ago. It backs up to the Pedernales as well. Really pretty country, and they had some really nice deer too!! Lots of game in general.
