    Upgrading to Canon 60D

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a new camera this year. I am just about set on the 60D and focusing on a set up for wildlife photography mostly. I know the lenses I want for that but the camera body choice is what I'm still not comfortable with.

I like the idea of the video capture of the 60D, but some friends have told me to take a serious look at the 7D. But is the cost worth it? Anyone have any experience with the 60D or 7D? It sure seems that I see a good bit of the refurbished 60D models out there and that kind of concerns me too.

I will be selling my Sony a100 with the zeiss 16-80mm lens and two other lenses to help pay for this purchase.

    Thanks!

I too will be getting a 60D. Prices will not come down for new ones as the tsunami/hurricane have hurt production/shipping from Japan. In fact they may rise.

I saw a used one on craigslist for $750 (body only) but i wasnt fast enough for it.

From what ive read, the 60D wins on Color, Video.
Not to mention the articulating & higher res screen.
    Longer battery life
    Is lighter in weight
    and Cheaper.

However the 7D has less shutter lag
    Shoots about 3fps faster
    More focus points
    And is built tougher

I think the only reason id go with the 7D would be if i were mostly shooting fast action sports.

The 60D has the features i want and need at the moment.

I have a 60D and love it. you will burn through a memory card taking videos but it takes some excellent pictures. I am not sure how to upload pictures to the website (I am mostly a lurker and just read everyones posts) but I have been extremely please with it. the problem I have now is that I dont have enough lense power to do everything I want. if you get this camera, you wont be dissappointed!
