I just ordered a gorillapod focus and the ballhead x. B&H jumped the price over the weekend, but Adorama is still reasonable if purchased separately if anyone is interested. Regardless- can you attach an R strap to the connector on the quick release plate? Will the R-T1 work with the plate? Thanks.

No answer on texasphotoforum either, so I will provide an answer next week when it arrives. I have a knockoff manfrotto plate with r strap connector so I will see if it fits. If so I will order the R-T1. I also have an email to Joby asking if the d ring on the plate is rated to hold weight. -
Not sure if anyone is following this, but in case someone is I received a response from Joby. The ring is not tested or rated to hold any weight. I will still update if the R-T1 will work.Comment
