    Archiving negatives

I got a device to convert my negatives to digital. Kinda time consuming, but fun to see all the old stuff again. Question, would you bother cataloging all the negatives after you uploaded them, or trash them. Will there even be anyone around in the future to develop them?

I'd keep them. You may never get prints done from the negatives, but if your digital copies get lost at least you'd still have your negs.

I'd keep them for sure. What device did you get?

it was a gift. It seems to work well. I would want to compare the output quality of various units if I was going to go out and buy one. This ones pretty easy to use as it is a stand alone unit that saves the image to a flashdrive, then you can upload them at your convienence. Dust on the negatives is an issue, so it is time consuming. That is why I would get the best quality output you can because you only want to do this once.
