Got any old rolls of Kodachrome laying around?

If so, they have just become collectors items. As of December 30th there will no longer be anywhere to get Kodachrome film processed - anywhere in the world. Hard to believe but true - after 75 years Kodak no longer makes the chemicals to process Kodachrome - the first color film that was commercialy available. I was late to the digital party, stubbornly continuing to shoot film until about 6 years ago. I can't say I miss it (for all the reasons you already know) but it is the passing of an important photographic era. Weird - no more little yellow boxes! Not to mention that Paul Simon must be really disappointed.

      Interesting!

I wonder how long it'll be before you can't buy film, at all, anymore.

This song helped me decide which camera to shoot "back in the day"

Got a roll in my Olympus OM10 that I need to finish. Sounds like I need to hurry.
