Live out between Poth and McCoy and we have those spiders all over the house outside. I heard the other day someone call them Banana spiders. They sure look like they could eat a calf.

I heard the other day someone call them Banana spiders. They sure look like they could eat a calf.

That is what I always called them, but learned recently that they are actually called (very unimaginative) yellow and black orb weavers. Have one living outside my kitchen window that I have been feeding. She produced an egg sack the other night.
