post processing software?

im waiting on my SLR to come in the mail an was thinking about getting photoshop type of software to edit my pictures with, ive heard of the CS4 and others like that but i just wanted to see what everyone else uses and ur thoughts on what yall like to use, thanks guys!

Hold out until this comes out unless it already has. Scotty put a CS5 preview on here before but not sure when it is coming out.

CS5 has been out since the 1st of May. I pre-ordered my copy. You can also get Lightroom unless you are going to use CS5 for all its worth.

I'm using PS CS5. I started with PS Elements several years ago. It's good for getting familiar with full PS plus I was able to upgrade to full PS for much less money.

If you have never used photoshop, I don't recommend trying to learn yourself.
I bet 90% of what you want to do can be done through lightroom.
