A few pics from my European trip...

I left on a Saturday for what was supposed to be a seven (7) day trip - Houston, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Bergen, Amsterdam, Houston...a volcano in Iceland thought otherwise. I returned home some 11 days after my original departure. I was able to get in a couple of days of sightseeing between work and playing gypsy...

On the outskirts of Amsterdam...crazy to see how people use windmills, canals and boats day in and day out.


There are even some cool Jeep drivers in Holland.


A typical European looking street - this was in downtown Bergen, Norway...


One of the many harbors in Bergen berthed ships small and large...

In one very old and historic section of Bergen, you can see some really cool, old, wooden structures. In this particular area, the structures were originally built in the early 1200s, burned several times over the years and what is currently standing has been there since the mid-1700s... Incredible.

Fish market in Bergen...if you look closely, you can spy some fishy heads...


Had a nice, overpriced meal at a nice restaurant (a time or two) You gotta have a bit 'o food ****!






Rode up the side of one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen...neat view inclusive of the trolls...

From Bergen, I took an eight hour train ride to Oslo...this was like traveling through the Swiss Alps...mucho snow.




Did I mention there was a lot of snow...pure white...

From Oslo, Norway I took an eight hour bus ride to Copenhagen, Denmark...my final stop before heading back to H-Town...

There is a lot of nice architecture in Copenhagen - museums, castles, parliment houses, etc.








The copper downspouts / pipes really caught my eye on this old church.

The final hoo-rah in Copenhagen was a trip to the Carlsberg brewery.




The brewery houses the world's largest unopened beer bottle collection. When it was started, the bottles totalled over 15K...today it stands at over 19K...every shape, size, color, country, etc. is represented.




Misc. pics from around the brewery including the gardens and horse stables...






And so closes another chapter in the book o' KHo. It was an...experience.
