    Few random shots...

As most of you know I am in my infancy in the dslr world but I sure do enjoy shooting.... These are random shots I have gotten with my new gear (XSI and 70-300 lens)....

Enjoy and please let me know what I could have done better.....

This was from last week on my way down here to Mexico....

Mexican Sunset (from the rig site here)

Grimes County Rail..... (this one turned out cool, IMO)

Richards, Tx. (this was also part of my blue set)

    The Homestead

I wound up with the Canon XSI body and bought the 70-300 IS USM Canon lens... Which is a good lens in it's own right, however it is limited to outdoor daylight shots.... I also just found out a couple days ago that you can get some really sharp pic's by taking the ISO off of auto and swithing it to a lower setting (in good daylight), there are several shots I have taken where I wish I had already known that

I am in need of a couple more lens to cover the night time and indoor shots but that is why I chose to go with a DSLR when it was time for a new camera, so I would have that option....

i was considering getting the 70-300 IS USM canon lens as well, i know its not an L class lens but from what ive heard its a great deal. have you been pretty pleased with the results you've gotten with it? just wanna double check before i dive in an get one.
