B&H Question

I've been looking at B&H for the D90 body and they had a price drop of five bucks overnight. WooHoo! They say the following are included:

A couple questions center on the warranty. Does anyone know if this is a USA warranty? I don't want to get into a gray market deal, but I've heard nothing but great things about B&H. I'm thinking the way it reads above in bold, it's Nikon's warranty, but it's not clear if it's US or I'd have to ship overseas.

Also, does anyone hear the scuttlebutt on the life expectancy of the D90 platform? I see the D40 and now the D60 have been retired for the D3000 and D5000 leaving only the D90 in that numbered series.

I don't believe anything coming from B&H will carry anything but a US warranty but I don't know that for sure. It would surprise me it wasn't. Call them.

B&H is not "gray market." They are legit. B&H and Amazon are my favorite places to buy photography equipment.

the manufacturer is Nikon. the warranty is from Nikon.
They do sell imported lenses which are a little cheaper but thay have those marked as imported.

I am pretty sure Nikon offers 1 year warranty on their bodies. Also, I don't believe B&H sells anything grey market but lenses and flashes. They say imported on the product info. I follow your logic and see the D90 being replaced with a different model in the future. Certainly wont mean you have any less of a camera and that it wont last you for years and years to come. Just my .02

When you look at the specific camera within the B&H website, listed out to the side will show whether the camera is USA or Imported. The USA versions are normally a little more money than the Imported versions and the USA versions will carry a 1 year warranty directly from Nikon. If what you are looking at does not say USA, then I would suggest calling them. I have dealt with them for years and have never had a problem.
