Man, I LOVE a good hexagena hatch. Those are some HUGE mayflies. They must taste great and be very filling, 'cause the fish love 'em. Wish I was there with my flyrod. I've been seeing them around my house lately too.

The strike photo interests me.....note the small pressure wave displacing oxygen in the water. I'm addicted to this scene now....I'm gonna spend some serious time dialing in this shot. It's fun as hell y'all - SON!!!!

I know what you mean, Rob. THAT instant is what makes dry fly fishing the COOLEST form of fishing known to man.

Playing the fish is OK, but the STRIKE is where it's at.

Muddy Bud I used a fixed length lens opened wide @ 800, image stabilization with no tripod. I'm finding this lens/camera's sweet zone and this is about as low as it gets with micro-second subjects.
