My best friend has a beautiful property in Gillespie County that is loaded with exotics. Since it's low fenced it's always fun to see what will show up. Due to the drought this year, a lot of the animals are hitting the feed hard. He told me that now would be the best time to get out there and try to stick a blackbuck, and I couldn't pass that up.
The day after Thanksgiving we made a quick sit in a newly made bow blind. This ancient old blackbuck quickly came in and presented a great shot. I was blessed that the arrow was true and that he died within sight. I didn't realize that he was filming us walking up to him until I turned around after picking up my arrow. Glad he filmed it!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
