Does anyone know where the internal microphone is located on the GoPro Hero3 Black Edition? The owners manual is no help, I can't find anything online and my tests have been inconclusive.

I think I have it figured out. This one...
The weird thing is there's something that looks identical to it at the exact same place on the opposite side above the HDMI port. But covering that one has no affect whatsoever on the audio. -

It's good. I had a Hero2 and this year added a Hero3. I've only used the Hero3 on one hunt. I can control it with my iPhone, but the Wifi uses a lot of battery and I could barely get through a hunt on one battery. So I just added a battery backpack, which I haven't tried yet. Hopefully that'll allow me to get through a hunt without worrying about the battery going dead at the worst possible moment.Originally posted by Texas FD View Post
