Ok guys and girls, I'm asking for advice on what tripods, fluid heads, boom mics, led light, and lens hood I should be looking at, or that you have had success with. I'm new to semi-professional equipment. I decided to go with the Panasonic x920 mos camcorder. Any info would be appreciated!

I'm not familiar with that camera or Panasonic compatible components and I use a lot bigger camera that requires much heavier duty requirements. So, I can't really recommend specific products. However, I would buy quality gear. It's expensive but it works better. For tripod and fluid head, I'd get a Manfrotto combo. If you're filming from a tree, look at the Muddy camera arm.

I actually went with a Sony HXR NX30U camera. I have the muddy arm, and went with a Vanguard head. I'm going to order the Vanguard tripod in the next few days.Comment
