    Making DVDs

OK, let's say I have a whole bunch of homemade movies and I want to burn several of them onto a DVD. I want to be able to play the DVD on any standard DVD player. I want the DVD to start up with a menu where I can choose to either "PLAY ALL" or select a particular movie or "scene." Further, I would like to be able to break down my movies into scenes and be able to advance from scene to scene using my DVD player's remote. What software does this well?

    Thanks!

Hey, wait a minute. My Pinnacle HD Studio Ultimate Collection is supposed to make DVD menus. Hmmm.... ok, where is this little jewel tucked away? Is it a separate module? Maybe I just need to better learn the software I already have!

I think I may have just found the answer to my own question. Going to try this when I get home. Posting the video in case anyone else has Pinnacle and needs to know how to do this...

I used it to make a DVD of our summer vacation. The DVD is about 21 minutes long and has 14 chapters. There is a main menu with two choices: play movie or scene selection. If you click "scene selection", it takes you to the secondary menu where you can choose from any of the 14 chapters. There are three chapters per menu page and you can also choose "next page," "previous page" or "main menu" anytime you want. It was a little tedious because I was still in the learning curve, but I think I have the hang of it now. It will do everything I need it to do and then some. I made four copies of the DVD and have watched them on a TV, going through all the menu options with my DVD player's remote and everything looks and sounds great.
