More questions about videoing your hunts

I am slowly accumulating the necessary things to try and video some of my hunts.

1)What is a good entry level head?

2)How do you transport your camera and all of the stuff you need to the stand?
I bought a small camera bag that will hold the camera and all of the stuff I need but I hauled it to the stand with me the other day and I will need a wagon or a game cart if I have to carry one more thing plus there is no room for it in the stand.

I am planning on trying to get where I can film a hog hunt to start with and then maybe move on to deer

    2. I use a back pack to carry my camera, camera arm(s), and two tripods(larger one and a small one).

Video camera mounted on closed tripod in one hand , bow or gun in in other. Backpack with dslr camera, bino's, etc. on back. Hands are definitely full.

Welcome to the curse of the camera!!!!! Even worse, wait till you finally get something on film. You won't do it any other way... Next you'll be passing 150's and 160's because you can't get them on film... Well At least I have. Keep working at it. You'll figure it out...

I am already toting a pack so I guess I will just make room in it for the camera and must haves

bobfishbw I may really like filming myself and kids and friends but I don't have many opportunities at a truly big deer so I will not be passing anything like that in the near future.

I just recentley lightened my load ( not on the wallet ) by purchasing the new Sony HDR XR 150, very small & light, I build some of my own small tripods & camera arms that I leave on stand. I bought smaller Binos & minimized the items I carry in my backpack. I seem to get more effecient with each hunt & I have only been at it 16 years
Keep working at it, it's half the fun.

My camera bag that came with my Canon SLR holds it, my lens and my Sony 500 video. The whole bunch of it will fit in my larger backpack, but normally I just carry it. I use the 'bedroll straps" and the bottom of my day pack to strap my tripod on. Would rather leave my release than my camera...

I carry a small HD camera i picked up at best buy with a "trophy too" and their 4" extention... all small, and very pack friendly... but as a rule I pack light anyway... its just another option.
