i got i question.. why is my video quality so bad my camera is the canon vixa HF 40 and its HD is there something to tweak to make it better? thanks -Matthew
Great shoot and video. I have a Canon HF21 HD Camera and I've noticed the same thing. I edited my video on Windows Movie Maker. It does OK but I'm losing some of the original sharpness somewhere. I'd bet it is my crappy laptops fault. I might have to get my son Jacob to build me a screaming desktop soon.
If you are filming in HD, don't expect to get HD quality stuff editing with WMM. You need a better editing software that can handle those files and gives you options as to which quality setting you want to create your final product in.
I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate Edition and it works great. I film in SD HQ with my HD camera...my little laptop cannot handle the HD size files too well and makes editing very slow and frustrating.
If I had a better computer, I could film in HD...but for now I will use my editing software to help give my footage a "boost" in quality when I create my final product.
I bought the corel videostudio pro x2 and it is easy to work bit the software that came with my camera keeps the video HD when I upload it to YouTube and my computer is sharpe so I don't know what the deal is
