I use Windows Movie Maker to edit with. I got a video from a friend which is in Mpeg. Movie Maker will not accept it. Is there a way to convert it to AVI?

If by any chance you are using a Sony cam, when you see the files in PMB you can right click it and Convert to WMV too.Comment

Mike, you need to get the Pinnacle 14 program. It's inexpensive and it's helped me edit all my videos. Plus I took care of the video your talking about with it. $50Comment

I'm sorry I didn't even chime in for the thread. There are many software out there to convert mpeg to avi. I don't know which ones but I personally use kibisis v.1. I can't use wmv though
