Converting MPEG2 to WMA?

My friend has a sony dcr dvd 308 camcorder. How can he export the MPEG2 format to WMA? What software would he need? Thanks!

I have new Sony DCR-SR82 and am having the same issues.

I have the sony digital hard drive camera also. I was dumb enough to download it to my external hard drive. I made dvd's from it and my tv wont play them. I wonder if i have to convert it to something else. any help would be appreciated. the movie clips are from my sons first year of life. i can see the dvd fine when i play it on the computers. thanks.

The sony software "PMB - Picture Motion Browser" That came with my camera will change the MPEG to WMV. This is done by going to Manipulate > convert to WMV...
