Great post, Doc. Hate it that it happened, but glad you found him. Better than him being on some poachers wall, that's for sure.

I had a daily "regular" that hasn't shown up since around the first of February. I hope he's just moved areas, but I can't help but wonder considering that I'm located in the middle of a busy oilfield where there is traffic on the place at all times of the day and night.

There's always that worry when you let one walk. Sometimes we win. Sometimes we lose.

We also found a deer that we called the freak. He was dead near our property line off the river. He could have been another poacher casualty or just crossed a boundary, got shot, and made it back before he died. It's a deer that Yardboss chased all year, so my nephew gave her the skull. Maybe she'll post the pics.

That sucks John.......sounds like yall are getting a better handle on the poachers on the place though........maybe they'll stop now that they've been "Caught" where they were not supposed to be.

When Tuthdoc's nephew found him, his skull and horns looked just like the skull of White Eye's. I boiled it, removed the hide, bleached the skull and then stained the horns.
