    Water flow maps?

Out of curiosity and because I have not lived in the area since I was a child I was wondering if their is a good resource to see how the drainage flows?
I know one of my cousins evacuated from riverside to my sisters place in Groveton. I know they are releasing water out of various lakes at different CFS. Just interested in how it is supposed to work under normal circumstances as well as the extreme y'all are having to deal with Harvey.

    I've been watching these numbers.

Insane... Trinity, Brazos, Colorado, Guadalupe, and San Jacinto rivers have all been over 100K CFS. Guad is running 150,000 CFS now. That's about 1.2 MILLION gallons per SECOND.

I read a quote from Jeff Linder, meteorologist with the Harris Cty flood control district, that basically said we don't know where the water is gong to flow, it's never happened before.

That will test the system. Thanks for the link.

Yeah it ain't good. It would take a bit of time at the 9" a year of rain average here to equal what they have got in just a few days from Harvey.

Yeah I can't fathom it either. We are really wet this summer/above average and some places down there have had more rain in 4 days than we get in 3 years
