Looks like the radar has slowed down. Get some sleep.
Took your advice last night and a pretty good 6hrs of sleep. Man I needed that. Thank god. I have been praying a for all the people in Houston and other areas who have lost everything. Kinda makes me feel bad for worrying about a measly 3" in my house.
I feel like the mayor will be getting a lot of heat in the coming weeks

He deserves it. Abbot advised people in flood prone areas to leave early on. The mayor directly contradicted him and told people to stay where they were. Many of the people on roofs right now should have been long gone as the flood was totally predictable.
I know areas flooded that never flooded before, thats understandable. Abbot said if it flooded in the past , LEAVE. Mayor said no,no, stay where you are..
I beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel guys. I'm trying not to get too excited but, so far so good. I have measured a total of 24.5" to this point and all water is down around me. We flooded in the tax day floods with 13". My attempts have definitely made an impact. All the prayers are greatly appreciated. Thanks all. Just in case something does sneak in, I have all forces ready to go. Sump pump in the ground, and 2 2" water pumps.
