Monster Spike and a few other Bucks

I was finally able to get down to some family land down in Kerrville and check my camera. I’m hoping to sling an arrow at that spike and big bodied 8 pt. Of course I’d sling an arrow at that axis, but he didn’t get that big walking in front of a feeder in the daytime. All pictures I have of him are night time.

That spike would win a lot of deer contest.

I’d have a hard time killing a big axis buck at night, even if it is legal.

It is hard to stay awake at night. They’re just as smart at night they smell you and hear you before they see you night or day

Axis are extremely hard to bow hunt, they seem to know you are sitting in your blind way before any whitetail becomes alerted. Then the axis will stand about 100 yards away barking at you with that high pitched bark, fun stuff…

That spike needs to have the air taken out of him.

Deer seem to be in really good shape down there. Hope you cross paths with that axis.....or the spike.
