So I had something digging out a 330 conibear trap set in a fence dig. Did it multiple times. I decided to set a foot hold trap in the dig area about 16 inches from the 330. To my surprise I caught this rascal. First one we have seen and there are very few in the area.

I run cameras on the place north of you, never seen one out there. There are some on the far south side of the county though.

He was on my northwest fence headed your way! LOL I saved you. Man let me know next time you’re going to be out this way so we can meet up!

Well we had a little action the last few days. Caught a nice size female and three yearling pups and a perfect size shoat for the pitt. I keep leaving my phone at the house so missing a few photos. I’m going to get stranded out here one day and regret that lol !

Two of the 4 came off a woolly booger set. The other two came off compass sets.

I read that and thought, oops. Shouldn't do that.
But the law on trap dimensions only applies to fur bearers, which coyotes are not, in Texas.
            Glad I read up.

Spent the better half of the day running miles of high fence. Found several new dig outs and snared them. Made several good sets that just look like they’ll catch. Hopefully I’ll have some yote pictures in the next day or two. Warm weather trapping has always been a little unproductive for me but I have a few things I’m going to try and I’m looking forward to see if they work.

I have a pint on order. Can’t wait to give it a try.

The only trapping I'm doing lately. It was a miss, too. Must have been one of those educated gophers. Some amateur's been in here before me.

Caught a big male this evening that’s been giving me the slip. Resident coyote, he would have reeked havoc on the fawns glad I got him. Flat set with powder valley in a pipe and a shot of red fox pee. 4 coiled MB550 on a drag.

I know or my apologies I’ll do that on Friday. I have a location I’d like to make that set at.

You could literally write a book. James Lucero has nothing on you.
