    Fish food and feeder question

I put one of these fish feeders at my tank last October. First question I have is what brand of fish food are y'all having the best results from?

I tried using the Tractor Supply brand twice but it does not float very long and the fish do not eat it that well. I started using this brand from Lyssey and Eckel and the fish will eat a five second dump within 5 minutes or less. It is expensive though at 39.99 a bag.

Is there another brand that works well?

My biologist told me not to over feed, never throw anymore than what can be eat in 5 minutes. What time frames are y'all feeding?

Depends on what species of fish you're trying to feed.

I use sportsman’s choice. Has gone up to $19 a 40. Fish seem to like it. :-). I just feed one at 8:00 pm in summer.

I really do not know, the pellets would have to be very small.

We feed Purina. We get it from the feed store $28.00 for a 50 lb. Our catfish eat it really well.

I recommend Cargill Triton to our clients, and we feed it personally as well. You would like the 3/16" pellet. It's a 36% cp 6% fat.

Is this something that I can get at a feed store?
