My family had land in Milam Co for decades, and there have always been good deer in that area of Falls, Milam, Bell, etc. Few and far between back in the day, but they were there. Quantity has increased and ARs have definitely helped. Great looking buck and good luck getting him.

That is a monster for Milam County.
I used to own property near Milano, and never saw one that big.
The mentality down there was, "It's brown, it's down".

As it is in Bosque Co too.

It didn't happen. Froze my arse off. Only had pics of him that one day. Really bummed because we had our family Christmas 5 minutes away that day and wanted to try and hunt before but decided it was selfish to try and make it happen. Would have had to get a nearby hotel, wake the baby up to drive there the night before since I got off work late, etc.

Definitely a stud for that area...or any area. I grew in in falls/east bell co/milam. There are some great deer in the area. They just need time to get old and big. Big tracts of land where they can hide produce some monsters every season.
