Ok so this morning really sucked lol ! ATV front end went out waaaay back in the River bottom. Had a 5 mile hike out. Tomorrow doing it old school with a back pack till the front end is fixed. I’ll probably pull out about 10 of my farthest traps from the main road. Just to far in to walk every morning. That will cut my trap line from 4 miles to about 2 1/2 or so. Looks like I’m walking for the next two weeks :-/. Did I say I hate mud lol !

You might just leave them set and cover them with brush. I’ve left them for a week before and just uncovered them and put a small bit of lure out. Very little human sent.

That’s a good idea I’ll probably do that.

I know from experience hauling all that gear back is a real pain in the butt.

So, I don't know much about bobcats.
Is this a big one, or not really?

I would say that’s a good size one for sure !

Put some coon sets out, to keep clogged traps and dig-outs down.
At a 'tee' in a road where I have had success on coons in the past.
Baited with dry cat food and with fish oil trailing scent.
Four inch drill pipe "collars" (?) for weights. Not really drags.

Trying to fix my bent Duckbill driver.
Not exactly getting "cutting torch" hot.
Won't get to yellow. Not hot enough.
                    Little Bernzomatic soldering torch.

I have a forge if you need to get it good and hot.

I started using wolf fang with heavy driver because of that. Our ground is hard and rocky.

I have been using Wolf Fang. Just trying these.
I'm not trapping in Llano, but in the Pleasanton area.

Not to get too far off the subject of trapping, but those pieces of drill pipe are called tool joint pins.
                                They are the male portion.
The female portion would be called the tool joint box.
