We've duck hunted a few times with lots of divers. The problem is they are mostly the wrong kind.
The majority of birds are bluebills (scaup) so we shoot our bluebill limits of 1 really quickly and have some ringnecks mixed in. They problem is telling them apart on the wing. On a cloudy day they are extremely difficult unless you give them 2 or 3 passes. Even then it's hard.
So we have erred on the side of caution and once we have a scaup limit we usually just watch them pile in the lake and take video.
