Where do yal suggest setting snares for coyotes? Ride the fence line and look for places where critters cross? Everything online seemed not really relevant to hill country.

Snares intended for net wire fence. Yes, just drive and look for "slides"

If you can find a slide around water your odds increase greatly. Like working pens and yes slides going underneath net wire is preferred. Look it over close and try to make certain it's mostly coyotes using it. Down here in South Texas fawns have not been on the ground long.
