    What's wrong with this doe

While looking through last week's pictures I noticed one of the does was extremely poor. I looked a little closer and saw her front feet have something wrong with them. Any ideas on what would cause something like this ? The rest of the deer appear normal and healthy.

Definitely skinny. No backstraps and not even enough meat on the neck to make soup with.

Let the yotes have it, they gotta eat too.

Goats will do that, if their hooves aren't trimmed or worn down - pasterns break down. Not sure if that can happen with deer.

Foundered. Most likely will not recover. Typically see it in older wild animals but younger domesticated animals due to diet.

Haven't seen her in person yet . I think these are the first pictures I have of her so i'm not sure how she walks.

Cattle will do that too, I was going to guess foundered as well.

A few years ago, there was a doe we called Gimpy, because she had a bad limp on her front leg. One year she even had 2 fawns. When we were filling the feeder, she would always show up, even with people around making all kinds of noise. I felt sorry for her, and gave my friends a green light to take her.
