Aging late summer deer can be tough, saying that I do not think he's 3.5. Id say hes 4.5-5.5 but his body does not definitively suggest either one of those guesses. Give him a few weeks, let him fill out then make the call. Great deer for the armpit of the hillcountry!

Lol yeah I sent him pics of a deer I believe this one to be from January, he said he believes he might have been 3 last year. If it is indeed this same deer he made a huge jump.

4.5-5.5 very hard to guess age on hill country deer, been hunting them my whole life in Kinney county and I still can only get somewhat close on guessing age. Score low 40’s high 30’s. Very cool looking deer.
