Gun. I have neither the patience nor skills for a bow.

I can see why you picked that one, I like the dark horns and balanced rack. Very pretty buck, that's what all the work is for.

I was late to the party. I had him high 190's and pushing 200+ when I first open the post 5 minutes ago. Congratulations on a absolutely beautiful animal! I would love to hear the story of the hunt. Thanks

Story isn't exceptionally exciting. I had been wanting to hunt this deer for a couple weeks now, but my work schedule along with family commitments simply wouldn't allow for it.

I decided to go for a morning only hunt this am.

I got to the stand around 6:20 and almost immediately had deer all around me.

As it began to get light enough to discern specific bucks, I could see my target buck was not one of the 6-7 bucks presently there.

Around 7:00 two new bucks appeared and he was there. For 20 minutes he simply would not present a clear shot. He then jumped in the feed pen and proceeded to eat everything in the troughs. As he finished, I could tell he was going to jump out.

I readied my rifle and as he landed and stood broadside, I shot him. I knew he was hit hard as he ran directly toward me. I shot again and he tumbled butt over head. He was done.
