You're right. That was my first buck. I've learned a lot since then and I'm halfway ashamed for being so quick with the trigger. My aim is to work a better plan this year.

But he may look bigger during the fall.
Pretty colors on that cape and lots of white underneath.

I think he'll be 4.5 this fall. Got a little ponch on his belly and his brisket is starting to become more pronounced. I hunt in Central Texas (Blanco and Burnet) and I bet he would make book in another year or two.

I was thinking 4.5. He is definitely a shooter, but I think I'll pass knowing he's got another year of potential. I'd be willing to take the chance.

I'm leaning toward 5. And he's probably got another 3 years of potential.
