One of the largest values for me that no one has mentioned yet is the enjoyment of having a live deer like this running around to look at. That's a big part of it for me and my hunters. You can't afford to take every girl home from the bar, but it adds something to the experience to have a really good looking one that's a regular at the bar you go to.

The photo of the early 80s dropper is impressive. It is crazy how those genetics are still around 35 years later. If ever there was a case for a DMP this buck would be a prime candidate. I would have a hard time shooting this deer at this age just because I would enjoy the many upcoming years seeing him in all his splendor walking out of the brush on a cool crisp morning as opposed to having him on my wall. Enjoy the ride, bucks like him are few and far between.
