Baiting/Seeding a field open to cattle

There is a field that I have been thinking about using as a quasi food plot. The problem is that it is open for the cattle to come through, and that isn't going to change.

Is there something besides deer corn that I could maybe spread out across the area to make some good foraging area for the deer? I figured I would mix in a little bit of corn at first just to entice them to the area.

Is there anything that someone has had good luck with cattle leaving alone?

Anything small that they can't pickup. Corn, milo, peas

That's what I suspected. I guess I'll have to just make my own mix.

Cattle can lickeep up grain sorghum (milo). They will eat any green forage that is planted.
