    Advice needed for feeder area

Just put my feeder up on the new lease and where it is, the grass is fairly tall and thick. So far the consensus is to just leave it alone and let the animals tromp it down for me. Or I was thinking either mow and spray it, or just mow it and don't spray

Anyone ever had to deal with thick grass, I'm used to hunting areas with nothing but rocks. What did you do about it??

Just leave it alone, it'll be a bare patch of dirt under/around it in a month.

Kinda what I figured with all the pigs that are on this place, but I didn't know if they'd get it pushed down good, since the feeder spreads the crap out of the corn

If you have pigs it will be bare soon. We put up a feeder in a spot with thicker and taller grass than that. Came back the next weekend and it was dirt.

                  Good luck on new lease.

                  Where is it located?

I would fence it with a round pen and not poison the grass.

                        Why would you fence it?

To feed deer and not pigs?
Maybe I missed the part about this being a pig only feeder?
Of course, I am the guy who is spending lots of $ on corn killing pigs this summer.

What I figured you meant. but it's also not a pig only feeder, and that's my plan as well kill pigs during the off season. It's something I really enjoy and I use it for equipment testing as well
