Can deer get a cold?

My friends daughter shot her first buck yesterday. It had a small amount of green "snot" in the corner of his eye and his neck was all crusty from what appeared to be nasal drainage. He had a limp also from what we could only assume was all the cactus needles in his legs.

So can deer get a cold?

Yes any animal can get sick.
