    11/19/2021 Update

One of our friends was able to shoot this 6yr old 10-pointer. He dressed out at 134lbs. He was on our list of bucks to shoot. We have six better 5+ year old's out there so this one was on the hit list. We are trying to remove the worst buck in each age class while shooting 10 does this year to help reduce our overall numbers.

I will be out there tomorrow and will be planting 8 new fruit trees (Mexican plums, Chickasaw plums, and Deer Pears from Nativ Nurseries). The plum trees we planted last fall have done very well so we wanted to plant another 8 this fall.

We are hoping to do some strip disking to promote some cool season forbs. I really hope that we get some rain next week, our food plots could really use it.

If that is the worst 6 year old on your place, you are doing something right. Great job!

Not judging. But I have forgotten
            All native genetics?
That last deer has an awesome frame.

Yes, all native deer. Trying to see if we can grow big native hill country deer.

Great blackbuck! Any idea how many blackbucks ya'll have now? What made ya'll make the decision to take him?

The wheat/oats fields are about 2in tall but need some rain as it’s very dry out here.

We have 6 blackbucks remaining and 1 blackbuck doe. We had him on the hit list due to the number of curls he had since he is considered a “trophy”.

That’s what I assumed. Great job
Further proof most texas deer only need age to have larger antlers.
