Red Deer Doe/Hind Weight

Considering a hunt for a Red Deer Doe/Hind hunt but was curious about the Average Weight .

I have No Experience with these and most of the information I "Googled" is for animals in their Native Land ..NOT Texas.

I think you could get one around 300lbs. I took a friend who took one, last July. Guide said it was about 400...not too sure I believed it. But it was the biggest in the herd. Very tasty

A mature hind should run between 250-325 lbs. Great meat hunt animals, as they taste great.
