Acorn / Mast Crop this year?

Now that every one has been out and about, how is the Acorn make looking in your area?

I hunt out of Oakwood in NW Leon county and we saw very few if any on the ground after the rain and almost none in the trees. Even our big white oaks and red oaks seem dry. The Blackjack oaks have nothing either.

Does not seem like a heavy crop this year for me.

Mosquitos are just as thick as the acorns.

Haven't seen many at all around Leona. Smallest crop I can remember.

What about Llano? I hunt between Llano and Fredricksburg and am heading up tonite or tomorrow.

Im just south of you and there are lots and lots of post oak acorns and pin oaks hitting the ground.

My deer are still hammering the corn though.

^^^I love it when they hammer the corn. Hardly ever happens in October.
