    Sonora/Sonoran Oats?

Quick trip to the feed store at lunch to price food plot seed

50lb bag of MBS Seed fall blend was 29.99/bag

    50lbs of Sonora/Sonoran Oats 17.99/bag

Anybody have any info or experience with Sonora/Sonoran Oats? I know there are several different types of oats out there with different strains being easier to get grown but have never heard of Sonora/Sonoran Oats

I have heard of Sonoran Wheat but not oats. Its a highly prized wheat that bakers love. It comes from Northern Mexico....a very old variety. Maybe the Sonoran Oats is from the same region.

we are talking about a small town feed/seed store here with this being what a 19-20yr old young man was telling me so the chances are MUCH better that Sonora/Sonoran Oats don't even exist and that is what he was calling them

Guess I need to call down there and verify his info
