yep, this summer i have gradually stopped putting it in and around the feeders, i have started only putting it out with some hand corn and a few other things in my hand corn spots, which happen to be 20 yards from my stands...lol. IMO they really like it and if i can get them "craving" it by only putting it out once a week, all the better.
and with my experience, the bucks, NETX bucks anyway, will stop hitting feeders in early october so i am gonna see if this will help get them close by placing it in the woods away from the feeders.

Next time I'm in Waskom, I'll definitely be going to the feed store to get some bags. I'm low budget but for $11.50 for 50#, it's good for me. Deer seem to like it and it has a little value for them.

I have been feeding rice bran for a couple years here in East Tx and have had good luck with it. Today when I went to the feed store they had some that was flavored. I got a bag of peanut butter flavored, and a bag of persimmon flavored. Anybody ever used the flavored rice bran? I'm gonna put it out this afternoon so when I go back in a week or so I'll see if they like it.
i have 200#'s of this persimmon stuff you speak of in my truck bed right now.
A lot of the attractants you buy during hunting season are mostly flavored rice bran with a few other ingredients added. Rice bran is cheap and they stretch their profits with it.
Yep, we pay $100 for 1000#. But we're in rice country. Hands down best attractant for photos of bucks in my experience.
