I've been reading about getting bran at a feed store- how much? I called one and they wanted $30 for 40#. Should I be asking for something different

Try Collin County Seed and Feed. They usually are the cheapest around for corn and soy beans

Rice bran is higher. Wheat bran you can get for less than $10 per 50#.
They are not the same either.

Called again the wheat brane is $13.XX still high to everyone else's prices

There are two differnet types of bran stabilized and unstabilized. I dont really know what the difference is but ask for the unstabilized its what you can get for ten bucks and the deer do tear it up but so will the cows if you have them.

Beads, it shows in your avatar your from Frisco where do you hunt or travel to?
Rice bran is what your looking for, if you want to just dump something out once to see if it works just buy a bag of Buck Grub an see if that works, then go from there.
