Do I need to Water?

I have access to 160 acres in Nacogdoches County. Well on the property there is a 12 acre lake with natural springs feeding it. My question is, do y'all think it would attract more deer to my stand area if I were to put out a water trough roughly 700-800 yards away through thick woods from the lake? or would it be pointless?
Just looking for opinions.

Typically the more water the better. May not help in wet years but been awhile since we had one of those.

I would agree the more water the better. It certainly will not hurt.

Good idea. Haha, I have a few set ups. A couple pretty close to the lake. Just wondering if it'd help out my other spots further from the lake
