I have a small place of my own that has lots of deer. I took a buddy with me last year to go sit with me in my bow blind. It blew his mind at how close the deer got. We saw lots of deer too. We work together and and are fishing partners. So I knew now I may have a hunting partner. He put in his time and labor last year helping full feeders, clear roads, plant food plots, run hog traps. You name it. Last year I let him kill a 3 point cull with my rifle. He was pumped. Like all us other grown kids he asks, "if I buy my own gun I can I come hunt again". In the offseason he buys all the gear. He helps pay for protein and corn. Helps with all the labor involved. Brings beer and tacos every trip. I got the greatest joy letting him kill the biggest deer of his life. He acted like some hunting show hosts in the blind with pure emotion. 
. This morning we sat together again. I put one down too with my bow. He now wants to take up bow hunting. 
We also Had a pig in the trap. He was donated to a family to make tamales.
