I was trying to guesstimate based off his ears but wasnt sure how accurate that is. I found on avg a wt deers ears are 16 inches from tip to tip. So I was thinking 19 ish.

18''-19" wide. Looks to be a 4.5 or 5.5 yo. Pretty buck with nice brows.

If I let him walk (proly won't get another chance at him anyway, ha) you think hell grow any more points? If he's not fully mature yet, wonder how much more antler could be grown.

From my experience in that area they can def get better with age and decent to good rainfall. Of course that's always a gamble but I would think he's got the potential to be much better in a year or two if he gets the nutrition needed. And if he can keep from getting shot!

Thanks for the responses, I'm probably gonna hunt him tomorrow morning, then from sunday eve to wed. morning. Hopefully that'll be enough time to get it done.
