    Bearded hen?

    This one and a couple more have been hanging around this feeder--looks to be bearded.

            Yes, and there are two of them. I have been hunting this place for about 10 years and generally there is always at least one hanging around. Landowner says it is likely a crossbreed with a domestic white bird.

              Saw lots of bearded hens in goliad. Only one “off-color” bird in 12 years. A solid white gobbler my wife killed

              Had a jake in my yard yesterday. Turkey in the area, but seldom make it on this side of the ranch

                    Thanks for that photo !
                    FWIW the white turkey in goliad was many, many miles from any domestic birds and was strutting with a couple more normal gobblers and hens
