Sometime people don't understand Deer are like people. Unless you know a deer from birth you will never know what that deer can become. If you have a deer that is born Late they will always stay behind the other untill they reach 4.5. They say that is the first Time all deer are at the same level and you will first see what the deer might do later on. Then at 5.5 that is when they can realy make there first real jump instead of just trying to catch up like they have been doing sence Birth. In my opion deer with any Tine lenght, spread, mass or good number of point should be given a chance to mature unless you are managing for super bucks or just trying to keep your numbers in Check.

This is a deer that went from a pretty bad cull on my place at 4.5yrs old on a drought yr and turned into a pretty special buck that they hunter will remeber for a lifetime. You be the judge. Just remember. Some will alway be a cull and Some will suprise you if given the chance. But, Once they are dead you will just never know
